Obituary of Frank Kukovica

KUKOVICA, Frank Passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the age of 86. Loving husband of 62 years to Mary. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Sue (Tom) Reese, Tim (Branka) and Martin (Jamie). Proud grandpa of 7 and great-grandfather of 6. Frank is also survived by his 2 brothers and 3 sisters from Slovenia. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday, July 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 169 St. Paul St. Crescent, St. Catharines, on Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. God gave him big, strong hands to work the land yet soft and gentle enough to hug the youngest of his great grandchildren. He welcomed countless visitors to their home but kept his family right in the middle of his heart as his biggest treasure.
