Obituary of Paul Papineau
Papineau, Paul Jean Joseph Lucien †" Born in Val Paradis, Quebec. Passed away peacefully at the age of 69 at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a hard fought and courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Forever beloved husband of Gail (McIntosh) soon to be 47 years of marriage. Loving and cherished father of Brian (Shelley) and Sheri (Tim Becker). Treasured and inspirational grandfather of Abbey, Alex and Amy Papineau, Austin and Ashley Shale and Justine Becker. Beloved son of Gertrude Papineau and brother of Ivon (Cheryl), Monique Dorling (Mario), Ben (Gaetane), Guy, Lise Jones (Dan), Gerald (Pat), Mariette Lincoln (Craig), Michel and Denis (Toni). Predeceased by father Jean Papineau (1968) and bothers Andy (2004) and Aurele (2009). Son-in-law of Jack McIntosh. Brother-in-law of Linda Beaulieu (Jacques), Cheryl Ireson and Richard McIntosh (Carol). Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul lived his life for his family, his many friends and his church family at Elm Street United Church. He will be missed by all his friends at Swiss Chalet, Tim Hortons and the sports community. Paul faced many challenges in life but his perseverance, his dedication and his will to find a way attitude led him to a life without limits.
Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday December 29 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A celebration of Paul†™s life will be held at Elm Street United Church, Merriton, on Friday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Niagara Peninsula Children†™s Centre would be appreciated by his family.
