Obituary of Victor Nasir Wakil

WAKIL, Victor Nasir On August 5, 2015 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Donalda. Cherished father of James (Moira), Mary, Brian and Dean (Jennifer). Special grandfather of David, Iain and Sydney. Loving brother of Harold, Beatrice (Oshawa), Odette and Jodat. Predeceased by his brothers Edward (Rochester) and George. Victor was a respected home builder and property developer in the Niagara Region: a visionary entrepreneur. He was a great friend to countless colleagues, clients and employees, as well as so many neighbours in Niagara and Florida. How many times have we heard: "What a gentleman!" Among his family he was the wise oldest brother, dad, uncle: the one who would come up with the right answer. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Friday, August 7 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 3:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Julia Church, 251 Glenridge Ave, on Saturday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
