Obituary of William (Bill) Everett Sanders

SANDERS,Everett William(Bill) - Went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, August 16, 2015, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Betty. Adored father of Lynda-lu Killick (Bob), Dan (the late Faye), Brad (the late Sandi), Jeff (Linda), Todd (Judy) and Scott (Lisa). Loving step-father of Kenneth Lowrie (Cheryl), David Lowrie, and Scott Lowrie (Tina). Fondly remembered by his 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sisters Norma Hamilton and Marjorie Longlade (Willard). Predeceased by his first wife Donna (1980), second wife Marilyn (1997), son Rob (2004), and sister Betty. Bill will be most remembered for his great love for God and his family. Bill started his career very young as a sailor plying the Great Lakes. Even though he worked subsequently at TRW, he returned back to his love of the ships, working at the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority until his retirement. Visitation is from 2–4p.m. and 7–9p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. A Funeral Service in celebration of Bill will be held on Thursday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the Scottlea Gospel Chapel, 500 Scott Street, St. Catharines. A private interment will take place prior to the service. Memorial donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Family Bible Hour, M.S.C. Canada, or McNally House Hospice.
