Obituary of Barbara Read

READ, Barbara Peacefully with her family by her side, Barbara passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, August 17, 2015, at the age of 86. Barbara was predeceased by her first husband Keith English (1989), her second husband Frank Read (2004), her son John English (2010) and also by her son-in-law Steven Rapley (2006). Barbara will be missed and forever loved by her children Linda Rapley, Carol (Robert) Brix and David (Cheryl) English and by daughter-in-law Veronica Piacek. Loving Nana of Paul (Jasmine Stuart) Blouin, Stephanie (Jocelyn Robichaud) Blouin, David (Ashley) Rapley, Michael Brix, Patrick (Chrissy) Brix, Kyle English, Jennifer English, Alexandra English and Serena English. Special Great-Nana to Julien, Vincent, Elianne and Logan. Barbara's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Thursday, August 20, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin St., on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow the service.
