Obituary of Ted Daniels
DANIELS, Ted
It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of Teddy H. Daniels, on August 31, 2015. Just one month after his 85th birthday.
Ted is survived by his partner of 18 years, Linda Gordon, his son Danny, his brother Clarence (Rita). He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Grant, Debbie, Sharon, Sandra, David, his cousin Ken (Sylvia), his step-daughters Jennifer (Richard), Amanda and also by his grandchildren Scott, Lindsay and Troy. He is predeceased by his mother Mary Ann Woods and sister, Bernice.
Ted began working at Algoma Central Railway Shipping Lines at the age of 15 years old. He retired after 43 years of loyal and dedicated service as a First Officer “First Mate”. He loved horses, horse racing and he enjoyed spending a day, studying the latest stats and placing a few carefully calculated wagers. He was generous with his time and was always eager to help anyone, who needed assistance. Our world was a better and caring place, with him and he will be deeply missed. Ted’s family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m.
