Obituary of Mary Infelise
INFELISE, Mary (nee Tortorella)
It is with a broken heart and profound sadness that I announce my mom Mary's passing at Hospice Niagara on Monday, September 7th at the age of 92.
Mom is predeceased by her husband Agostino, her parents Joseph and Anna Tortorella and her brother Dr. Fred Tortorella.
Loving and amazing mother of Joanna (Joe) Collini. Devoted and adoring "Nani" to Natalie (Rob) and Joseph (Cali) who will cherish her memories and sadly miss her. Cherished "Great Nani" to Avalina Mae and Emalynn Jade whom she loved dearly. Loving sister in law to Karen Tortorella and "Aunt Mamie" to Stefanie, Dr. Andrew (Dr. Bonnie) and Barbara Tortorella. "Great Aunt Mamie" to Maximus, Marcus, Andrew and Isabella, whom she adored greatly.
Mom is also survived by her many cousins and good friends who have been very supportive during this difficult time. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the extensive medical team who saw her through her illness: Drs. Gruber, Boukaari, Whitty, the 4th floor nurses and the PSW's. Extra special thanks to Alicjia, Nanette and Yoleydis "GiGi" for their extended support, and the volunteers from the Niagara Health System. A very special thanks to Dr. Kerley and the staff at Hospice Niagara for their kindness and compassion with mom making her last days comfortable.
To our family and friends, thank you very much for all your support over these last few months knowing that you cared for mom and our family means so much in a time of drastic upheaval in our family. A special thanks for food, visiting and support, to Aunt Karen, Joseph and Cali, Natalie, Bonnie and Andrew, Stefanie, Barbara, Gina and Nancy. I will never forget your love for her.
My mom will always be remembered for her kind and giving nature. She gave tirelessly of herself by always helping others. Anyone who came in contact with her was touched by her vibrant personality and her sense of humour.
