THOMPSON, Frederica Marie "Vickie"
Passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer, on Saturday December 3, 2011, at the St.Catharines General Hospital at the age of 67. Beloved wife and best friend of Ken for 28 years. Loving mother of Lyle (Andrea), Joe, Kelly and step-mom to Betty-Jo and Keith (Melinda). Loving grandmother to Taylor, Emma, Ethan, Sidney, Kiera, Johnathan, Austin and Daniel. Vickie is survived by and will be greatly missed by many family and friends. Vickie enjoyed spending time with her family. Vickie and Ken were involved with the St. Catharines Flea Market for 20 years. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, December 6, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Vicki's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Lincoln County Humane Society- for Cats or a contribution for a Paramedic Bursary; in honour of Vickie- would be appreciated by her family.

This will be a very sad day for all of us as I leave this earth for a better place. I will miss all of you dearly, especially my husband Ken of 28 years. I love you "babe".
My dear son Lyle Renaud and his lovely wife Andrea and my precious baby girl Taylor and big sister Emma "Grandma's Girls". My first born son Joseph Glidden (Connie) of Cold Lake, Alberta. Daughter Kelly (Jeff) Rightmere of Mabank, Texas. Adopted mom to Dana Murphy and many others along the way. Cherished grandmother to God-son Austin Mercier and his big brother Daniel "Gramma's Boys" and Beckey and Chris. Stepmother of Keith (Melinda) Thompson and their children Ethan and Sidney, Betty-Jo and her children Kiera and Johnathan. I love you all the same. Special nieces Jackie (Glen) Davidson of New Brunswick. Lillian (Paul) Connors of New Brunswick, Mark (Lorna) Dixon of Niagara Falls. Thanks to all of you not included, you are not forgotten. It would take me forever to mention all of you. I cannot forget my wonderful friends old and new. Iris and Bob Baer, your love, friendship over the years and your fantastic cooking. Debbie and Joel Mowat again, trying to fatten me up and the wonderful holiday this year. Davina Johnston and her son Mike McNeil, my yard sale buddy and best friend. Sue La Pointe and Lynn Middleton, I can never thank you enough for all you have done. My dearest neighbours and best friends Krystyna Seckel, thank for for everything you have done from shopping, to cleaning for checking up on me and just being there.
Not to be forgotten, Les Meeley and his mom and Anne. Barb Howelett for her baking and everything she has done to help. Andy, Sharon and Mary-Grace for support, love and help. I know I will forget some of you but you are in my heart. I love you all. I am going to be united with my parents Anne Beek and Frederick Goodine of New Brunswick. Sisters Raemona Humphrey, Mildred Connors, Brother Sterling Alward all of New Brunswick. Very special thanks to Jan, Linda and Glenda and my P.S. Workers especially Maryanne. My doctors, Dr. James Henry, Dr. Michael Levesque and Dr. Paul Robert for all their care.
