Obituary
Obituary of Phyllis Mary Komendant
KOMENDANT, Phyllis
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31st at Rapelje Lodge at the age of 88.
Predeceased by her husband Charles.
Much loved mother of Terri and her husband Brian Koruna, and Linda and the late Paul Stack. Devoted Gramma of Brandon, Brett, Tyler and Ryan, and cherished Great Gramma of P.J.. Also survived by her loving sister Ann Stasiuk.
Predeceased by her brother Leo Roczniak.
Phyllis settled in Burlington when her family arrived in Canada from Poland. She spent her early years working the farm with her family and attended school in Hamilton. She met Charles and together they moved to St. Catharines and settled in there to raise their own family. She was a member of the Canadian Polish Society. Upon the death of her husband, she moved to Welland to be closer to her daughter and her family. She was most proud of her daughters and four grandsons. We will always remember her affection, humor and love of her family.
The family extends sincere thanks to the entire staff of Rapelje Lodge, especially 300 House, for their amazing care and for making her last months comfortable.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
