Obituary of Chester Alexander Sojda
SOJDA, Chester Alexander
Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 65. Beloved father of Justin (Rhonda) Sojda. Cherished Grandpa of Austin. Dear brother of John (Deborah), Kristyna (Bruce) Minty and Helen (Mark) Vanderlee. Uncle Chester will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Chester will also be missed by his furry companion Gizmo. He was predeceased by his parents Anna (nee Choroszun, 2001) and Stanley (1975), by his brother Ted (2008) and also by his special friend Louise (2014). Throughout his life, Chester worked in the construction industry as a concrete finisher and had made many friends. In accordance with Chester’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a graveside ceremony at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston Street, on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. Following the inurnment, family and friends are welcomed to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street , from 12 p.m.-2 p.m., for a memorial luncheon and time of sharing memories of Chester. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
