Obituary of Frank D'Amelio

D'AMELIO, Frank Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, December 27, 2015 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Rena (2009). Cherished and devoted father of Linda (Stan) Moore and Nick. Proud Grandpi/Grandpa of Jessica, Sabrina and Natalie. Dear brother of Phyllis (the late William) Felice, Antonietta (Leo) Rossetto, Dan (Tina) D'Amelio, Lena (Wes) Kis, Rosalie (Rocky) Daddario. Brother-in-law of Mary (Victor) Pupo, the late Louis (the late Dorothy) Ravazzolo, Ida (the late David) Desimone, Ramona (the late Joe) Scrivani, Raymond (Madeline) Ravazzolo and Julia (Joe) Serianni. Frank will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Frank was the founder of Peninsula Collision Service Ltd, established in 1952, the oldest, continuous body and mechanical shop in Niagara. Frank was a mentor for many other auto body shops in St. Catharines. He will be sadly missed by his coffee club, his many close friends and especially his family. Special thanks to Dr. Jeremy Child, Dr. Anthony Broski, Dr. Emilio Raimondo, Dr. James Lee, Dr. Abhiram Hallock and Dr. Bruce Rosenberg. A special warm thanks extended to the nursing staff at the St. Catharines General-5A. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, December 30 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Julia Church, 251 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Catharines General - Nephrology Unit or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
