Obituary of Gérald Clément

CLÉMENT, Gérald It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great Father, grandfather and great grandfather on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the age of 95. Loving Husband of the late DesNeiges (1989) and will be dearly missed by his longtime friend Armande. Cherished "Pa" of Gilles (Sharon), Noël (the late Lucille), Lise (Mike), André, Carole (Brian), Denise and Paul (Sandra). Grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Gérald will be missed by his brothers and sisters, many other extended family members and friends. Gérald retired from General Motors in 1982 after 32 years as a welder. He was a member of the Chevaliers de Colomb #7741 and a founding member of the Club LaSalle and La Residence. He enjoyed playing cards at the CAW hall and was a part of many other leagues. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and boating. Cooking was one of Gérald's favorite interests. The family would like to thank the staff at the Shaver Hospital, St. Charles Village and Tabor Manor for their excellent and compassionate care. In accordance to Gérald's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations made out to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital - Rehab Facility in Gérald's memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
