Obituary of Concezio D'Eramo

D’ERAMO, Concezio (Cosmo) – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Concezio (Cosmo) D’Eramo at the age of 95 on Sunday January 10, 2016. Concezio has gone to join his son, Peter as guardians of the family. Concezio was a strong loving husband to Maria D’Eramo for 72 years. Loving father to Joseph (Juanita) D’Eramo, Pasqualina (Guilio) D’Intino, and Tony (Darlene) D’Eramo. Taton will be dearly missed by his 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren for his strong family values. Predeceased by brothers of Girolamo and Panfilo D’Eramo.Concezio proudly served as an Alpini soldier, an elite mountain military corps, in the Italian army during WWII. Concezio immigrated to Canada in 1957 with his wife and children from Pescocostanzo, Italy and settled in the city of St. Catharines. He retired from the CN Rail where he worked as a dedicated, trackman maintenance engineer for 24 years. Concezio enjoyed family, gardening, playing briscola at St. Alfred’s Church where he was an active member of the parish. Concezio is resting at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines with visitation on Tuesday, January 12 at 2-4 and 7-9. Vigil prayers at 7:30pm in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Alfred’s Church, 272 Vine St. St. Catharines on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stoke Foundation are greatly appreciated by the family.
