Obituary of Morris Deline
Deline, Morris - Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce (2009) of 64 years. Loving father of Doreen Thompson, and Linda and her husband John O'Connell. Proud Grandfather of Joanne (Lons), Stacey, J.P. (Patricia), Kathleen (Mark), and Jennifer (Mike). Cherished Great-Grandfather of Jesse, Adele, Mia, Sophie, Dean and Scarlett. Survived by his sister Reta, brothers Harry (Laurene), Frank (Christine), sisters-in-law Victoria, Mary (Mervin), and Margaret. Will be sadly missed by numerous family members. Morris was a WWII veteran serving in the Trooper Division, an avid outdoorsman and a long time member of the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club. Morris was the founder of Economy Paving, and a prominent businessman in the Niagara Region. He was a very loving and giving man who dearly loved his family. He will be sadly missed. A special and warm thank you to the staff members of Bayshore Health Care Joyce, Melissa, Julie, Alicea, Victoria, Sunita; Paramed nurse Jan, Norwina, Gloria and Joy; and special Red Cross Caregivers Sheila and Romina.
Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Friday from 3-7 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 9:30 am. Burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation in Morris' honour.
