Obituary of Amelia Teresa Antonello

ANTONELLO, Amelia Teresa (nee Favaro) Passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 12th at the age of 80. She leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years Orelio "Relly". Cherished mother of Debra Reid, Jerry (Candace Nicol) and Tina (Eric) Overstrom. Much loved Nonna of Sarah, Michael (Jamie), Christina (Sebastian), Dennis (Patti), Matthew, Alexis, Conner and Cameron, and devoted great grandmother of Lucia and Reese. Survived by her sisters Delfina of Italy and Lidia of Guelph, and her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her brothers Elia and Erone and sisters Dometilda and Tecla. The family extends sincere thanks to the entire staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, and special thanks to "Nurse Muggs", Dr. Wasserman and Dr. Bokhari for their excellent care. Also thanks to the CCAC team, in particular Susan, Julie, Jennifer and Diane, and special thanks to Co-Ordinator Nora. Amelia's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday, March 15th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 16th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 316 Queenston Street at 10am. Rite of Committal following in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday at 2:30 pm. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
