COLASANZIO, Angelene - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Angelene Colasanzio on April 6, 2016 at the age of 84. Angelene (Angie) was surrounded by her family and friends in her final days, passing peacefully at home in the early morning hours. Angie was born in St. Catharines on January 25, 1932, the oldest of four children to Alex and Doris Buganto. Angie is the loving mother of Cindy Lennon (Dave Choma), Mark Lennon (Darlene Santaw), Lynn (Stevan) Doughty and Cathy (Dave) Overweg; sister to Mary (Ray) Parker, Larry (Ronnie) Buganto and the late Al Buganto; beloved "Nannie" to Melanie and Liam Lennon, Andrew (Amanda) and Stephanie Doughty, Justin, Cameron, Melissa and Lucas Willms; aunt to Chris, Brian and Gary Parker, Keri-Ann Haddad, Daniel and Stephen Buganto. Angie is predeceased by her late husbands Clayton Lennon, Kenneth Bigford and Rudolph Colasanzio. Angie is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Joe Eros. Angie worked tirelessly in various jobs throughout her life, most notably providing nursing care at the St. Catharines General Hospital, retiring in 1991.We would like to thank the following organizations for the compassionate care and attention provided throughout: CCAC, Paramed, Care Partners and Hospice Niagara.In accordance with Angie's wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of Angie's life will be held on April 23rd at 11:00 am at THE GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street in St. Catharines. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
