Obituary of Yoshiko Sharon Nagami

NAGAMI, Yoshiko "Sharon" - It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Sharon Nagami at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Sunday, June 19th at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Roy. Dearly loved mother of Diane Coverdale (Doug) and Brenda Janzen (Terry). Cherished Bachan of Chadd and Cori Janzen. She will be sadly missed by her 4 siblings. Born in Vancouver, Sharon and her family moved to Toronto after the war. She met and married Roy and moved to St. Catharines. Sharon was a stay home mom and an accomplished seamstress. For the last six years, Sharon lived at St. Catharines Place. She took pleasure in participating in the various activities and had many dear friends, especially Shirley Jackson. The family extends special thanks to the wonderful staff of St. Catharines Place and Shaver for all the loving care and support. Cremation has taken place. Sharon's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday, June 26th from 2-4pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the funeral chapel on Monday, June 27th at 11:30am. An inurnment will take place on Saturday, August 6th at Christ Church McNab Cemetery at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital would be appreciated.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Reception

Following the inurnment, there will be a reception in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall (lower level of the funeral home). There is an elevator for anyone requiring assistance.
