Obituary of Bernice "Auntie" Kudla

KUDLA, Bernice “Auntie”  (nee CWIK) Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016 at St. Luke’s Place in Cambridge, at the age of 97. Bernice has been reunited with her beloved husband Walter; both were long term residents of St. Catharines.  Bernice was pre-deceased by her siblings John, Martin, Walter and Mary DeGeer.  Auntie will be fondly remembered and missed by her many (great and great-great) nieces and nephews.  She was loving and kind to all! Her passion and skill for cooking and baking will live on through the recipes she proudly shared and we enjoyed often at family celebrations! Bernice also loved sports and was a long time and patient fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Auntie's family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Father Freitas of St. Mary of the Visitation Parish (Cambridge) and to the teams at Amica at City City (Mississagua) and St. Luke's Place (Cambridge) for their loving and extra special care for Bernice. Bernice is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will follow the visitation, in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Society.
