Obituary of Patrick White
WHITE, Patrick
September 22, 1926 – August 27, 2016.
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Dearly beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of Suzanne (Don Ceranowicz), Tom (Nina), Judy (Michael Brophy), Andrew, Janet (Donal Brophy), and Robert (Sylvie Bergeron).
Proud Grandpa of Celeste, Natalie, Daniel, Ciaran, Michael John, Sophie, Chloe, Nolan, Julien, and Marianne.
Survived by his brother Jim (Rita), his sister Elaine Culleton (David), his brother-in-law John Popelas and sister-in-law Bernice Crunican. Predeceased by his siblings, Patricia, Edwin, Sister Mary Carmel, Father Frank, Joan, Marlene, Mary Lou and Jack, and brothers-in-law Gerry, Patrick, Father Paul, Bill, John and Derek and sisters-in-law Jane, June and Marilyn.
Patrick grew up on a farm near Kinkora, ON. He lived and worked in London, ON in his early years and it was there that he met his dear wife Joan Crunican. They eventually moved to Jordan Station before settling in St. Catharines where they raised their family. He was employed with CN Rail for 35 years. He was a member of St. Alfred Parish where he was an Usher and a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. Patrick lived his life committed to his faith and his family. In retirement he enjoyed travelling, golfing and curling.

Mr. White's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Wednesday, August 31st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Thursday, September 1st at 10:30am. Cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment at a later date. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
