Obituary of Bob McPherson

McPHERSON, Robert (Bobby) With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband and father on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of 54 years to Ellie. Cherished father of Rob (Kathy), Kim, Rodney (Tracy) and Rhonda (Dave). Proud papa to Robbie (Brooke), Michael (Melissa), Amanda (Andrew), Lori (Rafael), Matthew (Brianna), Rodney Jr. and Daniel. Great grandfather of Lili, Avery, Delia, Thea, Lola, Cicely and Eddie. Much loved brother of Ron (Yvette), Margie, Linda (Ron) and Doug (Debbie). Brother-in-law to John (Donna) and Linda (Kevin). Uncle Bobby will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all of his Ottawa Street neighbours. Predeceased by his parents Blake and Evelyn, sisters Marion and Diane, brothers-in-law Bill, Paul, Art, sister-in-law Marj, and nephews Paul and Wade. Bob retired from Kelsey-Hayes after thirty years of service. In his retirement, he was known as the neighbourhood Recycle Ranger and the proud author of his imaginary Euchre book. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Taliano, the CCAC staff and emergency room doctor Dr. Wiens for their care and compassion. We would also like to thank Officer Brefo of the Niagara Regional Police for his kindness, his patience and resources. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Saturday, September 3 from 11-1 p.m. A reception will follow in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jumpstart or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
