Don was a great friend that will be missed, we got into the amateur radio hobby together and with Don it was pedal to the metal all the way or not at all ,and then we jumped into computers and again pedal to the metal all the way that's how he did things and it was fun all the way also, Good bye Don ...Ve3LVH have a good afterlife !

Deepest sympathies, Anne, Chris and Jacqueline. So sad to loose such a great man. He meant so much to so many of us.
As a kid growing up I would so look forward to summer vacations when I knew there would be a road trip planned to St Catherines.. so many fond memories.. Back in the 80's when you guys moved to Bathurst I was so excited to have you guys and my uncle Don around.
There were a lot firsts in life for me that involved uncle Don.. first time playing video games on a PC, first time seeing radio controlled aircraft up close.. first time seeing radio controlled aircraft crash..lol... first time ever in an aircraft was with Don and his friend Harry, flying over Niagara falls, first time on a sail boat, first time playing XBOX.. the list goes on... (just ask uncle Danny lol).
When I set my goals on a career in the auto industry, that was 'cause, if Uncle Don did it, then so could I.
Moving to Toronto in 87, to work for General Motors, many of my friends back home asked me how I did it, why I wasn't home sick.. I'd tell them " ah its easy.. I'm a tough cookie".. Truth is..., it was easy, 'cause uncle Don was just an hour away and I knew if ever I needed anything, I could count on him(and you guys) to have my back.. Very comforting feeling when you're so far away from home. Will so miss his witty humour.. his funny stories and his BIG family dinners..
Find comfort in the fact that we can all still count on Don to watch over us.. RIP
Please wait
