Obituary of Joe Kedzierski

Kedzierski, Joe - In his 68th year, Joe Kedzierski passed away surrounded by his loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital on October 11, 2016. He is predeceased by his father Michael. Beloved husband of 43 years to Barbara (nee Szpilewski). He will be deeply missed by his 4 children Joanne (Pablo) Kedzierski Navarro, Kathy (Nick) Gray, Sylvia (Chris) Wilson and Derek (Justiss) Kedzierski. He was greatly loved by his 4 grandchildren Elijah, Jonah, Mason and Sofia "Zosia". Cherished son of Catherine, devoted brother to Mary (Wes) Wierzcholski. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law Teresa (Marian) Szpilewski, his brothers-in-law Andrzej (Teresa) Szpilewski and Marian (Ewa) Szpilewski. Also survived by his cousin John (Alexandra) Kedzierski; nieces Adrienne, Basia (Kazik), Ania (Lucas), Ella (Jeremy) and Asia; and his nephews, Greg (Sarah), Artek (Agnieszka), Marek, Darius and Piotrek (Anna). He was widely known as "Baker Joe" of St. Joseph Bakery and will be missed by his staff. The bakery will never be the same without him. He was also a great friend to many. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their compassionate care. Family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL Home, 585 Carlton Street, on Thursday from 7-9 pm, Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street on Saturday at 10 am. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be given to the Charity of your choice or towards the renovations at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Joe's honour.
