Obituary of Shirley MacInnis

MACINNIS, Shirley - Passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late John (1995). Cherished mother of James MacInnis (Cheryl Post), Betty (Rick) Harkins and Kevin MacInnis (Darlene McLaughlin). Loving Grandmother of Terry MacInnis, Kelley (Rob) Milan and Cathy (Gus) Kontogianis. Great Grandmother of Caitlyn, Justin, Ashley, John, Alex and Alysa. Sister of Glenn MacNeil of Ottawa. She is predeceased by her siblings Manning MacNeil (1996) and Joan MacNeil (2014) and her daughter in law Norma MacInnis (2008). The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of the Nurses on floor 3A at the St. Catharines Hospital for taking such good care of our mom. A special thank you to Nurse Jenny in the Trillium Ward at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. We would also like to thank Dr. A. Hameed and Dr. M. Torigian for taking the time to discuss Mom's situation. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, November 3rd from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Shirley's Life will take place on Friday, November 4th at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
