Obituary of Violet Bejenar-Martel

BEJENAR-MARTEL, Violet (nee Kizul) Passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the age of 85. She leaves behind her loving husband of fifteen years, Roger Martel. Fondly remembered by her stepdaughters, Nicole (Dominic) Mamone and Marie (Ugo) Siciliano. Violet will be missed by her five step-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren, known to them as Great Grandma Vi. She was a cherished aunt of Scott (Katharine) Lewis. Also survived by her sister Sally Spear, sister-in-law Melva Kizul and brother-in-law George Reid. Predeceased by her first husband William Bejenar (1999), her sister Delores Reid and brother Michael Stanley Kizul. Special thanks to the staff at Wentworth Heights for their loving care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, November 22 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 23 from 10-11:30 a.m. A Funeral Service for Violet will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
