Obituary of Donald Edward Ashdown

ASHDOWN, Donald (CHRL) - Passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at Upper Canada Lodge at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Anne. Cherished father of Robin and Karen (Graeme) Tiels. Loving Grampy of Hannah and Samantha Tiels. He is predeceased by his son Brien. Donald was a long time Rotarian, a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of Probus. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at Upper Canada Lodge for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Donald's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, November 30th from 7-9 p.m. As per the family's wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
