Obituary of Leo Lockstädt

LOCKSTÄDT, Leo With sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Leo “Opa” “Chief” on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Gerda “Mum” for over 53 years. Supportive Dad of Rick, Angela, Mark (Shantelle) and Kevin (Angie). Caring Opa to Alyssa, Ethan, Taneal and Max. He will be dearly missed by his Tante Wanda, Sister Anna, Tante Marlies, many nieces, nephews both in Canada and abroad and many other extended family members. Leo is predeceased by his siblings Arthur, Julius, Frieda, Eduard and Dina. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 213 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines. A Funeral Service will take place following the visitation in the Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Niagara on the Lake. Memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia Canada in Memory of Frieda Bau or Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary.
