Obituary of Joseph Martinus Ruesen

RUESEN, Joseph Martinus - In the early morning of January 11, 2017, in his 91st year, Joseph passed peacefully at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital. Reunited with his beloved wife Johanna (2014) and his son John (2015). Cherished father of Joanne (Ed), Tony (Karen), Marion (Bert), Joseph (Patti), Jacqueline, Paul, Michael and daughter-in-law Anna. Adored Opa of Chad (Shannon), Alison (John), Nicole (Chris), Evan (Lorena), Leanne (Bobby), Johanna (Tomasz), Donevan (Mel), Andrea (Chris), Garrett (Melanie), Melissa (Chris), Stephen, Karly (Mack), Aaron, Christopher, and Cameron. Great Opa to Olivia, Ella, Lucas, Myles, Adrianna, Ethan, Emma, Elliott, Lennon, and Aila with one more on the way. The family thanks the caring staff of Shaver Hospital for the personal touch they added to our father’s care. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, January 15th from 2-4p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place at 3p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass is to be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 16th at St. Julia Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue, St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Warehouse of Hope would be greatly appreciated.
