Everyone has a favorite teacher, Mrs. Minaker was mine. Your wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother was my teacher 50 years ago at Laura Secord. She not only taught me shorthand and typing, she made me believe in myself and go forward in life and conquer it all. I had always hoped I would run into her one day and tell her the impact she had on me, unfortunately that never happened. I wish there were more teachers like her, someone you could admire and respect. My heart goes out to you at this very sad time ❤

My deepest condolences to the Minaker Family. I am a former student of Mrs. Minaker's at Merritton High School, at least fifty-three years ago. I remember her smile in the classroom, her ability to teach with such clarity and engagement, and always that twinkle in her eye. You learned in her classroom because she cared and was devoted to teaching and liked her students.
Deepest Sympathy, Sue Zadorozny

Dear Gweneth, Harrison, Catharine, Colin, Terezinha and Daniel
Manuel and I are so sorry for your loss, we know that she meant a great deal to you and your family, she was an incredible lady, we are lucky and grateful for having known her, for the last ten years, Mary will be greatly missed, by all of us.
I’d read her comments on Facebook or e-mails & often admired her incentive and bravery to venture with the times, whatever it took to keep the lines of communication open and keep up to date with her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s progress, giving up was never an option for her, although some would have, if faced with the challenges she’s endured throughout her younger years.
It was easy to grasp how proud she was of her three great-grandchildren, the sparkle and warmth in her eyes could light up the room as she held or spoke of each one of them. Valerie is still a bit too young but Theodore and William were just as delighted with their “GG” as they proudly and often referred to her.
Please extend our condolences to your whole family
Our thoughts are with all of you at this time, we pray that cherished memories of her will bring great consolation to you all.
If there is something we can do for you at this difficult time, please don't hesitate to ask.
With deepest sympathy.
Manuel and Lucia

Dear Gweneth, Martha and Harry: We are very sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful mother, Mary. We met her many times over the past years at family celebrations and always thought your mom was a gracious, lively woman with a genuine zest for life. We were always impressed with her sense of humour and her terrific memory. We know how proud she was of the three of you and your lovely families. We also know how devoted you have been. Our thoughts are with you.
With love from your friends, Barb and Ted
