Obituary of Paul Ternowski
Ternowski, Paul - Passed away February 4, 2017 at St. Catharines General Hospital after a lengthy illness in his 88th year. He has now joined his dear wife Angel, who died February 13, 2011. He leaves behind his sister Ellen and brother Peter, as well as step children Ruth (Joe MacNeil), Yvonne (Sonny) Kulka, Gladys (David) Leppard, Diane (Ange) Redolfo, Allan (Sheralyn) Nault, and Glenn (Sharon) Nault. He is survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Anne, nephews Arnold, Ken Maskiew as well as 5 great nephews; 2 nieces, Joanne and Henrietta Slavinski and 6 great nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Anna (2003) and John (1966), his sister-in-law Jean, niece Linda Kowal (2011), his brothers Joe (2012), Steve (2012), sister Anne Maskiew, as well as infant sister Katherine.
The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton on Wednesday between 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Panachyda be said at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will be held at St. John the Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church, 91 Lakeshore Road, on Thursday at 10 am. Burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association or the church building fund.
