Obituary of Aletha Gertrude Richard

RICHARD, Aletha Gertrude (née Finnan) Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in her 85th year surrounded by her loving family. Beloved Wife of the late Joseph A. (1999). Cherished Mom to Karen (Tom) (Furry Grandchild Bailey), Sharen (Mike), Laura, Lisa and John (Sandra). Loving Grandma to Kyle (Casey), Christine, Emily and Amanda and Great Grandma to Abby. Loving Sister to Pauline and Albert Finnan. Aletha is predeceased by her parents Anthony and Ursula Finnan and her sisters Ruth and Patricia all of P.E.I. A special thank you to Dr. Janine Margaret Hutchinson for always being there for Mom. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Aletha's Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the service at St. John's Cemetery, Main St., Port Dalhousie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
