Obituary of Franca D'Orante

D'ORANTE, Franca (née Mancuso) On Sunday, February 19, 2017, with her family by her side, Franca passed away peacefully. Beloved Wife of the late Benito (2009). Loving Mother of Maria (Jack), Elena (Davidson), Rob and Nonna to Joey and Larissa. She will be sadly missed by her Brother Joe, family in Sault Ste. Marie, extended family members and close friends. The family would like to thank the staff at CCAC for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Nurses Eleanor and Deirdre with Paramed and to Dr. Hallock at the Walker Family Cancer Center for their continued support of Franca and her family during her illness. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. A Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St. Memorial donations may be made to St. Alfred’s Church or to the Walker Family Cancer Center.
