Obituary of Anna Christina Ralph (nee Mines)

Ralph, Anna Christina (nee Mines) - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother on February 24, 2017 at the St. Catharines Site -NHS in her 85th year. Surrounded by her loving family, Anna is now at peace with her beloved busband Bob (2013). She will be deeply missed by her seven children Cathy (Jim Smith) Sanders, Sharon (Gord) Maidment, Robin (Jack) Plante, Bob (Sharon), Randy, Pam, and Tracy (Bobby) Taylor. Adored Nana to 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Muriel Mines, Shirley Alquire, Joan (Abe) Isaak and Carol (Dean) Steele. Predeceased by her 3 grandchildren, one great grandchild, siblings William Mines, Tony Drexler, Emma England, and Helen Walisy. Anna was employed by Lincoln County School Board of Education as a caretaker at Power Glen School and retired in 1997. She was an active member of TOPS on 27. In her retirement years, mom enjoyed travelling with dad, especially to the cottage in Temagami with the in-laws. Every visit would end with a poem written by mom. Anna in her own quiet way always welcomed family and friends with an open heart. We will miss you so much our "Anna Banana." Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday between 2-6 pm. Funeral ceremony will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 11 am with cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation in Anna's honour.
