Obituary of Lena Richards

RICHARDS, Engeline (Lena) - Passed away on Friday, February 24th, 2017 at the St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Willard for 50 years. Cherished mother of Nancy (Ken Hopkins). She is predeceased by her son Gordon. Loving Grandma of Brett, Jennifer, Andrew (Jade), Kimberly, Danny, Keith and the late Mary. Great Grandma of Darryn, Euphemiea, Siobhan and William. Lena is predeceased by her sister Gertrude Theal. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Lena was an avid church goer. She was a self taught Oil Paint Artist who always loved to shop for a good sale. A sincere thank you to all of the staff at the St. Catharines Hospital and all of her Personal Support Workers for their care and compassion. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, February 28th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Lena's Life will take place at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 99 Ontario Street, St Catharines on Wednesday, March 1st at 2p.m. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Care Partners or the March of Dimes would appreciated by the family.
