Obituary of Ruth Eunice Claus (nee Simpson)

Claus, Ruth Eunice (nee Simpson) - Went to be with her Lord and saviour on March 5, 2017 at Henley House at the age of 97. Predeceased by her beloved husband Carleton (July 2, 2007), her loving son David (January 18, 2017), and brother Bruce (1954). Devoted mother to John (Dawn) and Gary. Cherished Grandma to Carrie, Ryan, Terra (Rob), Brandon (Christina), Trevor and Brittany. Great grandma to Avery, Kiersten, Chase, Liam, Gavin and Molly. Ruth and her husband Carleton were long time members of Bethel Baptist Church. She was very devoted to her family. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Henley House for the compassionate care and love to mom for the past 10 years. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday March 7, 2017 between 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at Bethel Baptist Church, 10 Arlington Avenue with a brief visitation from 10:30 am till time of service. Burial will follow the church service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church in Ruth's honour.
