Obituary of Mary Baranek

BARANEK, Mary (Loniewski) Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 with her family by her side at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Peter. Cherished mother of Gladys Dorst, Jane Becker, Mary (Paul) Chris, Peter (Veronica Pytlak), Barbara (Gerry) Miele. Loving Babcia of Sherri Gidney Isherwood, Richard Gidney (Amy Morra), Marina Dorst, Aaron Chris, Kathryn (Dan Varrin) Chris, Christopher Miele, Stephen Miele and Julia Miele. Beloved Great-Grandmother of Nicholas Gidney, Stephanie Isherwood, Teagan Gidney and Grayson Gidney. Mom enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and was an amazing cook! She loved cooking for her family. Mom especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Charles Dennis Whitty for his many home visits, care and compassion throughout the years. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St., on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. A Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by the family to the Rankin Cancer Run or charity of choice.
