Obituary of Thomas Melvin Marsh

MARSH, Thomas Melvin - Passed away on Thursday, March 23rd 2017 at the St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Jewel. Cherished father of Allen (Lori) Marsh, Darcy (Carol) Marsh and Marilyn Marsh. Loving Gramps of Mike, Jeff (Heidi), Renee (Shane) and Mallory. Great Grandpa of Avery. Mel was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be sadly missed by his nephew Ronnie (Flynn) Hebert and his fishing buddy, Guy Papineau. He was employed for over 30 years at the St. Lawrence Seaway. The family wish to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at the St. Catharines Hospital and Meal on Wheels for all of their care and compassion. A very special thank you to Mel's neighbors for all of their help and kindness. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines on Monday, March 27th from 10a.m. -12p.m. A Celebration of Mel's Life will follow at 12p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Meals on Wheels would be appreciated by the family.
