Obituary of Betty Jean Cronk

CRONK, Betty Jean Passed away suddenly at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in her 71st year. Beloved Wife of Wilbur Lea Sr. for 54 years. Cherished Mom to Norma, Wilbur Lea Jr., Patricia (Paul) and David (Michelle). Nana to the late Jennifer, Matthew (Kailyn), Melissa (Alexander) and Kevin Jr. and Great Nana to Rhett and Aurora. Sister to Evelyn (the late David “Porky”) Russell, the late Donald (Cindy), Kenneth Sr. (Myrna), Raymond (Jean), Glen (Marion), the late Shirley (the late Eggo) and the late Russell (Cindy). Sister-in-law to the late Eunice (Bob), the late Wray (the late Janet), the late Ruth (the late Bill), Evelyn (the late Russell) Stone and the late David “Butch” (Pat). Betty will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, all the Ladies at the Bingo Parlour and friends. Betty is preleased by her loving parents Avery and Jean Miller, her mother in law Daisy Cronk. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a lifelong member to Weight Watchers. In her leisure time she would like to crochet hats, blankets, clothes, Aurora’s christening dress and many other items. The family would like to thank all the staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for all their care and compassion. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 11a.m. - 12:15 p.m. A Celebration of Betty’s Life will take place in the funeral home on Monday following the visitation at 12:15 p.m. Burial will follow at St. David’s United Cemetery, 1453 York Rd., St. David’s. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
