Obituary of Ruby Victoria Metcalfe (nee Makins)

Metcalfe, Ruby (nee Makins) - Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on April 16, 2017 at Chartwell Niagara at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Ralph; parents G. Victor and Eunice Makins; brothers George and Cecil Makins and grandson Matthew Prickett. Beloved mom to Ron (Zina) Prickett, Jeff (Isa) Prickett, Gary (Linda) Prickett and Timothy (Carrie) Makins and stepdaughter Tracy. Cherished Grandma to her 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Devoted sister to Florence Mannell. Survived by many loving family members and friends. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday April 19, 2017 between 10:30 - 12:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. A private burial will take place at a later date at Norwich Pioneer Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Society in Ruby's honour.
