Obituary of Vincent Earl Johnston
JOHNSTON, Vincent Earl - Passed away at the Niagara Health System on June 28th, 2017 surrounded by his beloved family and dear friends. Vincent was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton on January 6th, 1933. Son of the late William Johnston and Wilhelmina Simpson Johnston. Brother of Leonard (deceased), Grace (deceased), Kay (deceased), Marion (Quebec) and Elsie (Hamilton). Survived by Ruth (wife), sons Edward (Laurie), Stanley (Joanne), Dale (Frances), Bradley (Janet) and daughter Evelyn (Brian); grandchildren Tamara (Dennis), David (Amanda), Stephanie (Ryan), Rachel (Nathan), Graeme (Reta), Alexis (Stacy), Paul, Marguerite, Patrick, Sean, Tala, Seth, Elijah, Zachary; great grandchildren Dakota, Naomi, Isabella, Antonio, Hunter, Morgan, Chase, Keirstyn and Miranda and several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and dear friends. Vincent was a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment for 20 years, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Vincent graduated from the the Certified General Accountants of Ontario in November of 1976. He worked for Revenue Canada Income Tax until his retirement on December 24th, 1987. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, July 2nd from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Vincent's Life will take place on Monday, July 3rd at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to Critical Care Unit - Niagara Health System would be appreciated by the family.
