Obituary of Ron Losier

LOSIER, Ron

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 55 years to Diane. Devoted father of Daniel, Marc, and Stephen. Proud Pépère of Nicholas and Joshua. Dear brother to Bill, Betty-Ann, Anita and brother-in-law to Amo, Eileen, Ted, Paul and the late Maurice. Ron will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by ten siblings. Ron retired from the Ford Motor Company after 28 years of service. He was honourably discharged from the Armed Forces in 1945, and was a proud member of the North Nova Scotia Highlanders and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24. Ron was also a longtime member of the St. Catharines Skating Club. In keeping with Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, July 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St., St. Catharines on Saturday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. An inurnment will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Highway 20, Fonthill. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the T. Roy Adams Centre.
