I just heard yesterday of Michael's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Michael had such a good heart. I remember him coming to visit me when I was volunteering on Church Street and he always came over to speak to me. His smile was so genuine and we had some very good memorable chats. Had I known, I would certainly have been at his visitation. I loved him too even if I did not see him often.
My deepest condolences for the family.

I'll always remember Mike as a sensitive, intelligent, and talented guy, We had one of our first bands together and I have some amazing memories from those days, but I'd like to share the one that I'll always remember Mike by.
We where in our last year of High School, a big group of us went out to karaoke, but of course we where all too afraid/cool to sign up and have a go.
Not Mike though, he dove straight in at the deep end. Mike got up in front of a packed bar and did Billy Jean by MJ (crazy hard song to sing, but Mike didn't care), with a full impression to boot.
We where all hysterical and Mike could barely hold it together himself, but he finished and when he did he got a huge round of applause.
That was Mike, most people at Karaoke that night wanted to impress with their hidden vocal abilities, but Mike (even as a talented musician) just wanted to entertain his friends.
I really wish I could come pay my respects at your sending off Mike, but I'm living the other side of the world in China. We've all been talking about you on Facebook, and many of us have had a several pints tonight in your honour.
Rest in peace now brother, and I did eventually write a song for you (wasn't the one you thought it was)

We are extremely saddened to hear of Mikey's passing. He was a kind and caring person who always saw the good in people. He also never passed up an opportunity to stop by our place for a visit and some leftovers. I'm not sure if it was the company or the cooking he liked, but he always said it was both. We will miss him and remember him often.

Hello,
Michael was my 1st true best friend, his passing has put me in a mood I can't describe fully in words. Me, Michael & Stuart, the 3 underdog's, unsung heroes, yet the over achiever's, who were inseparable. Michael, He was the best, as a friend, a person, a musician & He inspired me so much, always. Michael always had my back, just like I did his, starting at a very young age, we did everything together, from building snow mountains, then digging tunnels throughout them, going to the "sand castle" near the port, rolling from the top to the bottom, having the times of our lives. When I moved basically have the world away, south, Michael always came down and visited on summer vacation. We would do acrobatics off the diving board, play video games, street hockey, football, basketball, baseball, skim boarding on the beach & most of all, Michael had his guitar, showed me a few chords, lead scales, I got hooked! Michael was so passionate about his music, like me, He was brilliant, strong, courageous, loving, caring, compassionate, but robust, creative, artistic & a true friend that I miss dearly. I still am in disbelief, I didn't sleep much last night, I just couldn't, the thought just kept going through my mind, thinking about all the good times we had, protecting each other, never backing down from a bully, we were the ones who took care of bully's in elementary school, Maplewood. My prayers, my everlasting disbelief, my hope, condolences, are with you Diane, you were the best mom ever, Michael always said that, also Michael's Father, Steve, whom out of respect, I am saying this to you also Bob, Michael grew to love you too, his other relatives, family, friends & the people who meant the most to him, my brother from another mother, Michael, "Mikey", Mike, you were so much more than anyone really knew, so much pride, loyalty, values, the ability to show me what true friendship meant. I will always remember you, even when we got in arguments, we would always be giving each other hugs minutes later. I pray, that when you walked through the Pearly Gate's of Heaven, that you rocked out, louder than anyone ever could here on Earth & God said, Michael, you truly were an amazing person, now you are free, free from the world as we know it, which for Michael and Me, has always been an adventure, but these days, are not like the one's we lived as best friend's growing up, no, these days, the world doesn't always understand people like me and Mike, misunderstood, trying to be grateful, humble, loving, emotional, so passionate that at one point in time, after we both were pretty good musicians, planned on starting a band, to perform live, tour, record our music, our gift, then spread hope all over the world, not to become rock stars, well, yes, we did want to be rock stars, who didn't at that age, but much more than that, being able to help people in need, make people happy, performing, making music videos with meaning, loving life, living life to the fullest, always, that's who we were, still, I will, I will become the man we both should of been, to this day, I always remember how much confidence you gave me, like only you could do, in life, our friendship, 2 bro's, friend's forever & ever....I'm still here buddy, I will be till I see you again, when my time has come, where I walk through the Pearly Gate's, give you a Hi-Five! & A Big Hug, then Start Rockin' Out Loud, Louder Than Any Place On Earth, in Heaven, where I say to you my Brother from another Mother, Rest In Peace. You will always be in my heart, my thoughts, my hope, my inspiration to become the man I'm supposed to be, just like you should have, gone too soon, gone too soon, I Miss You, Miss You. I say this, through His Holy Name, through God, The Almighty Creator, I Pray, in Jesus Name, Amen.
From Your Best Friend, Always,
-Jordan "J.J." Andersen aka "axejedi"

So sorry for the tragic loss that has struck your family. I went to high school with Mike many years ago. Our paths, on occasion would still cross years down the road and speaking with Mike for a minute or two always resulted in smiles and a cheery hello.
He was a really nice guy and I'm so sorry for the untimely passing. My deepest condolences.
