GAY, Richard (Rick)

After a hard-fought battle, Richard passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the age of 74. Much loved husband of Theresa Sym. Cherished father of Tania (Basil) Mercuri, Stephen (Tracy), Jessica Lance (Josh Mallory) and Lindsay Lance (Braeden Martindale). Proud papa of Hailey, Kylie, Kaelyn, Jocelyn, Devin and Griffin. Beloved son to Aletha Davies. Dear brother of Ken (Ena) and Peter (Margo). Rick will also be fondly remembered by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, September 8 from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Rick's life will take place on Saturday, September 9 at 11 a.m in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
