Obituary of Catherine (Kay) Walton

WALTON, Catherine (Kay) - Passed away on Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at Ina Grafton at the age of 98. Predeceased by her husband Alex Smith, her sons Steven and Clifford, husband Lloyd Walton (Tony) and her great grandsons Sebastian and Aidan.  She is survived by her son Edgar (Jeannette), Lloyd (Judy), David (Lorna), Anne (Barry), Joyce (Ron), Father Peter and Lorraine. Dearly loved by 30 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her sister Joyce Trotter. Kay was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion- Branch 24. She was a caterer for many years for the Legion.  The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at Ina Grafton, especially Nurse Sharon, for all of their care and compassion. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, August 27th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Sunday at 7:30p.m. in the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 28th at 11a.m. at St. John Bosco Church, 375 Main Street West, Port Colborne. Cremation to follow.  Memorial donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
