PHELAN, Kathleen - It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Phelan (nee Duffy), our loving mother and devoted wife to our father Patrick. She passed quietly and peacefully and surrounded by her family in the early hours of Sunday, September 3 at the age of 75. Kathleen's life was dedicated to her family and she will be sadly missed by all, including her husband Patrick of 50 years as of this past May, and her five children Chris (Daisy), Terence, Colum (Natalie), Kathleen and Patricia. Her fourteen grandchildren will always cherish her and the time they spent with her, including Crystal (Robbie), Cirissa and Christopher; Kaitlyn, Abbey, Ellie and Cora; Emma and Owen; Isabella, Ivory, Gemma, Nicholas and Christian. She is survived by her older sister Vicky (Jim) McCabe and her younger brother Brian (Phyllis) Duffy. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ellen Duffy, her sister Ellie (Jackie) McCabe and her sister Isabelle (Neil) Sommers. She is loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews here in Canada and in Ireland and her loving friends. Kathleen leaves behind memories and a legacy of the most special kind - family.
