My deepest condolences to my whole family for this loss. Aubrey was such a wonderfully gentlemanly, witty, and loving presence at every family gathering and it won't be the same without him. I'm writing from Japan now and I can't help but feel like that's because of Aubrey and his family, who have always inspired me to continue to push myself and finally make it here (following in their example). He always showed the highest respect, kindness, and compassion to everyone around him. I love you all and my thoughts are with you despite the distance.

Aubery Uncle was a very loving, caring and kind person. First time when I met him as Angela's dad (my dear friend), we connected so easily. I was surprised how caring he is with his daughters. I was staying at Angela's apartment to study. He asked me to call him if I need anything. I saw him as my uncle (a family). And he and Barbara are the first family who sent Apoorva Xmas gift (the year we moved to Canada), he still cherishes those sets of books, he has just started to read a chapter book. And when my mom's house was burnt down he came forward to support her.
Apoorva remembers him fondly and asked about his health even when he was in camping this summer. We wish Barbara, Angela, and Lori good health and healing energy from the loss.
Love, Sujata and Apoorva

Aubrey, your wonderful, kind, generous spirit was so much a part of my life growing up and my long friendship with Angie. Part of my next-door family, you always treated me like family. There are so many rich and loving memories to draw upon. Now, looking back, I can truly admire your calm and stoicism when you faced down our childhood antics of incessant trips to Canada’s Wonderland or that unfortunate incident of setting fire to the basement table. Your strong family of exceptional women is a testament to your values and the influence you had in enriching the people around you. I, too, was lucky enough to be a welcome visitor in the Lytle family fold, and my fond, fond formative memories have touched me forever.

We loved Aubrey very much and will miss him greatly. Aubrey was always so thoughtful, caring and fun. His steady love and support for his family was exceptional, and his care and consideration for everyone and everything - including his dog and ours, a paraplegic ferret, a cricket, a bunny, a lovebird, and other animals - was inspirational. Our thoughts and love are with you, Barbara, Angie and Laurie.

I didn't know Aubrey but judging by the obituary he will be sorely missed. However it seems his family has been able to release him into "his next great adventure" which will certainly speed his journey. May all who love Aubrey be comforted by the happy memories from a life well lived.

So many kind words have been spoken about Aubrey, and it could come as no surprise to me that so many others besides his family were touched by his kindness, gentleness, wholehearted generosity, and humanity. Aubrey reached out to me in a dark hour of deep need, gave me a home, stability in a chaotic time, and helped me to get back on my feet in ways that I could never have asked for or imagined possible from another person. Ours was a mostly silent camaraderie, punctuated by short, passing conversations, but below the surface lay a deep mutual respect and understanding. Blessings on you, Aubrey, a thousand times over. May your next journey's path be as wide and welcoming as your heart.

Many years have past since I saw you last but the memories are instilled inside of me.
Years of good times and laughter. Your daughters and I making crazy videos of us singing and other crazy stuff. Many hours of fun.
You worked closely with my Dad in RBC but your friendship didn't end there. It flourished into a forever friendship of good times and bad times.
Aubrey we love you and we will miss you dearly.

Aubrey's loving, caring, generous spirit is something that defined the person he was. I have fond memories of Angela getting packages from Aubrey while we were in Japan as Aubrey always included a little something for me. You are all kind, loving, generous souls, and that is a testament to the person Aubrey was. My love to you all at this time and always.
