It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Graham Mather at the age of 88 at Lookout Ridge Retirement Home on October 3, 2017. Predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Helvi (2004). Born in St. Helens, Lancashire, England on March 12, 1929. He is survived by his children, Patricia Mather (Harry Jakobs), Robert Mather (Stephanie) and Nancy Ulch (Darren). Loving Papa of Sara (John), Lukas, Benjamin, Melanie and Brandon. Graham will also be fondly remembered by family, friends, and by his loving companion of 9 years, Joan Rewbury. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the staff and community at Lookout Ridge for the extraordinary care and compassion over the years. Thanks for making him smile. A special thanks to Shari and the Palliative Care team for making Graham's final days peaceful. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A Celebration of Graham's life will be held at Lookout Ridge Retirement Home, 1505 Lookout St., Fonthill on Saturday, October 7 at 1 p.m., with refreshments to follow in the auditorium. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
