Dear Michael and Carrie and family: I have just lost my best friend of 62 years. Donna and I and our other 3 friends (a gang of 5) spent probably 99% of our teen years at the Galt arena either roller skating, ice skating or watching the Galt Black Hawks play hockey. We always stood down at the far end of the arena (never sat) so we had a good view of ice. Then we would walk home through Soper Park with no fear. It was a good, carefree life for a bunch of teenage girls. I'm not sure we slept in our own beds very often, always having a sleepover (usually at the Leslie's because they had the largest house). Your mum was a true and loyal friend - one that anyone would have been privileged to call a friend. I shall remember her fondly and think of her often as I always have. Good night sweet Donna - rest in peace. You shall receive your just reward in heaven. I love you Donna and I shall never forget you. Love Carole

Dear Michael,Carrie and family, I met your Mom at Shaver Hospital when I was a patient there in January. We had some very nice chats and I could feel her strength. She was a lovely person. We kept in touch by phone after we were discharged from the hospital. I want you to know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Sharon Del Ben

Dear Michael, Carrie and families:
Our deepest sympathy on the death of your beloved mother, Donna.
So saddened to hear the news but remember what a great person she was and so intensely proud of her family.
You all have so many good memories of her to cherish.
We go back a long way as your Dad was Jack's first student at the Flying club.
We also remember the good times, with our kids, at your house in Toronto when you were children.
We will be unable to be at Donna's service as we will be away.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.
Sincerely,
Noreen and Jack Merrett.

Dear Mike, Michelle, Courtney and Michael our thoughts are with you during this very sad time. She sure is a special Nana, I remember seeing her shopping at the Pen with Courtney, taking Michael to the movies and cheering him on at hockey games. She created wonderful memories for her grandchildren to cherish. She will be missed.
