Obituary of Lionel George Southwell

SOUTHWELL, Lionel – Passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the St Catharines Hospital at the age of 80. Beloved partner of Joevene Viola. Cherished father of Virginia (Larry) O'Hearn, Wendy Poirier and Trish (Mike) Burke. Loving grandfather of Tiffany, Christine, Jade, Thomas, Steven and Leeza.  Great grandfather of Sophia. Step father of Clarissa Viola and Tina Martinucci. Lionel was a Figure Skating Gold Medalist who had a passion for Ball Room Dancing that expanded to teaching and hosting local Ball Room competitions. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, December 15th from 6-8p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 16th at 12p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
