Obituary of Catherine Kerr Snieder
SNIEDER, Catherine Kerr (nee Tufnell)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Kerr Snieder “Chatty Cat” on December 16, 2017. She passed peacefully and with dignity, surrounded by her family at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Catherine is survived by her beloved husband Simon and her children Elizabeth and Nicholas (Nicole). Special Granny to Benjamin. Loving Sister to Fred (Sheryl) Tufnell and Christian (Monica) Tufnell. Devoted Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Wallace and Elizabeth Tufnell and her brother Angus. Many would remember her for her dedication to her family, her volunteer work with the Costco Reading Program, her love of sailing, swimming, singing as well as her wonderful sense of humour. Catherine was a long time employee of Costco and a long serving member of First Grantham United Church where she sang in the Choir. Warm thanks to Dr. Wasserman, Mugs and the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses at the Walker Family Cancer Center and the St. Catharines General Hospital. In keeping with Catherine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Final Farewell Tribute of Catherine’s life will be held at First Grantham United Church, 415 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines, on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. A private family Inurnment will be held at a later date.
