Obituary of Sarah Prantera
PRANTERA, Sarah (Rosetta) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished Mother on Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at Tabor Manor at the age of 80. Loving wife of the late Sam. Best friend of Ben Craig. She will be sadly missed by her children Rosanne (the late James) Wallace, Joe (Kathy) Prantera, Frank (Lesley) Prantera and Gina (Andy) Vander Hoeven. Proud Nonna of Jimmy (Angela), Peter, Bianca, Heather (Alex), Vanessa, Sammy, Nathan, Isaac, Julia and John. Great Nonna of Isabella and Michael. Caring sister of Pasquale (Beverly), Cathy, Antonio (Denise) and the late Joe (the late Patti). Sarah will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, friends as well as her special care giver, Sharron. In the past, Sarah was very active with many local charities. Her passion was preparing and sharing the most amazing food with her family and loved ones. A sincere thank you to all of the caring staff at Tabor Manor. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, December 28th from 2-4p.m. & 6-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines on Friday, December 29th at 11a.m.Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to The Rose Craig Foundation - End of Life Care would be appreciated by the family.
